Eco-Flo Cova Color is acrylic paint especially for vegetable tanned leather. It is a covering paint but can be diluted with water. If a lot of water is added, the paint can become very transparent (similar to watercolor). Mix with each other to get an even bigger colour palette.
*Note: dye fades / disappears by friction and exposure to sun and rain

The use of adhesives, solvents and paints is at your own risk. This applies to both your health and the way you use these products.
Make sure that you ventilate the space sufficiently and use protection for your skin (gloves), eyes (glasses, if splashed) and protection of nose and mouth in case you use spraypaint.
Colors may differ from the original. This may be due to different supplies / paint baths and of course the display settings of your computer or tablet.
When you use penatrating dye the color of the leather (base) has an effect on the results. When you use a darker leather as a base, the final color will also be darker.
Preparing the paint surface
Make the leather grease-free with e.g. water and a little natural or cleaning vinegar (uncolored).
Application of the paint
Make sure you stir the paint well. or shake the paint (watch out for air bubbles). It is best to apply the product with synthetic brushes for acrylic paint. To achieve a smooth result, we recommend using a clean good quality paintbrush. Use long thin layers of paint to achieve a nice smooth result. Between the layers, it is best to keep about 15-30 minutes of drying time.
After-treatment of the paint surface
We always recommend to apply some kind of varnish layer, in this case we advise to stay within the Eco-Flo line. Suitable products are the Super Shene, Satin Shene or Carnauba Creme (see product pages for more information).
