Explaining Measurements

Leather is more often now indicated with m²  but every now and then suppliers use the feet²  measurements.

a feet² or square feet is approximately 30 × 30 cm. However we only sell our leather per hide (unless noted differently). 

Measurements in inches:
• ½ inch = 12,5 mm
• 5/8 inch = 16 mm
• ¾ inch = 19 mm
• 1 inch = 25 mm
• 1-1/4 inch = 32 mm
• 1-1/2 inch = 38 mm
• 1-3/4 inch = 45 mm
• 2 inch = 50 mm

How do i measure the Haberdasheries (clasps, buckles keepers etc.) ?

We always measure the inside of these haberdasheries (feed through) also known as the width of the strap that needs to fit through.

With round rings (hoops) we use the diameter of the inside of the ring.
